01 Our Story
Our family's panel trade began with Greenply Agencies in 1998. Newply (Pvt) Ltd was incorporated later and is a separate company.
We buy on the edge and stack on the edge. Every sheet sits on an open rack where you can inspect it before you pay. Bring a caliper and check the thickness yourself.
Carpenters, contractors, designers and walk-in customers all buy from the same rack. Newply and Greenply Agencies work from the same office in Piliyandala.
What we supply
Every sheet is 8ft × 4ft (2440 × 1220mm). Pick the board, thickness and quantity. Prices move with the market, so we quote on the day you ask.
Plywood in several grades for roofing, sheathing, furniture and general building, plus shutter board and film-faced plywood for concrete formwork.
Thicknesses: 3, 5, 9, 12, 15, 18mm
Smooth face, even density, made for machining. Cabinetry, wall panelling, furniture and detailed millwork.
Thicknesses: 2.3, 5, 6, 8, 9, 11, 12, 14, 15, 17, 18, 25mm
Dense HDF in three supplier grades to suit the budget, waterproof HMR board for kitchens and bathrooms, and thin hardboard for backs.

Finished on both faces, ready to edge. Wardrobes, shopfitting and office furniture, in four colours, every colour in every thickness.

Where we deliver
Newply is at 110/A, Colombo Road, Piliyandala, about 20 km south of Colombo. Our own lorries deliver plywood, MDF, HDF, melamine and eco board across Colombo and the Western Province, and orders come in from across Sri Lanka. Delivery is island-wide depending on order size, and it is quoted with every order.
